Amanda & Jimmy’s wedding, Roundhill Barn, Kelston 🤍

We served canapés alongside the reception drinks from the brilliant Pour x Pour - smoked Westcombe cheddar gougères, pea & pecorino arancini, braised beef bonbons with pickled walnut and horseradish. And karaage chicken with teriyaki glaze, because you can take the chef out of Tokyo…

Dinner came off the asado. Bavette steak, chalk stream trout on a cedar plank and a vegetable rotolo, all cooked over the fire. On the side were potatoes a la plancha with bravas sauce, panzanella and green beans with gremolata. Plus sauces on the table - red chimichurri, salsa verde, lemon aioli.

80 guests, disco balls over candlesticks and flowers, and a spectacular sunset over the Somerset countryside.

It’s time to light the fires at Vallis Farm again 🔥

Gather indoors around the farmhouse table for a feast shaped by our favourite time of year - autumn - roots, game, and the deep, comforting flavours of the season. With a welcome drink by the fire, join us for generous plates and good conversation.

The menu is guided by Vallis Farm’s and our local suppliers’ land and larder, and cooked with our European-influenced approach to relaxed, communal dining. A three-course shared feast will be served, with w**es from independent producers selected by The Stores, available to enjoy on the night.

We’re excited to be teaming up with Communa and Wolf W**e for our last supper club of the summer 🥂

If you haven’t made it down yet, Communa is restoring historic buildings across Church Street with original features, salvaged furniture and real warmth to bring a hub of hospitality, creativity and wellness to the centre of Frome - and right now, it’s all about the terrace - Mediterranean in every way but the postcode.

We’ll be firing up the asado grill to bring you a night of outdoor dining with a fire-cooked Basque menu for one night only, complete with tapas to start and a bespoke w**e menu.

We’re joining forces with the brilliant team at Communa and Wolf W**e for Communa’s first supper club - Txoko: A Basque Supper Club.

Thursday 20th August on Communa’s beautiful terrace, we’re firing up the asado grill for an evening of tapas and fire-cooked Basque cooking - think jamón ibérico, bandarillas, Galician octopus and sirloin steak with piquillo peppers straight off the embers, plus a Basque cheesecake to finish.

Wolf W**e will be providing some beautifully paired w**es for the evening, plus there will be b**r and cocktails available as usual from the bar.

✨ Teriyaki chicken, Japanese rice, tenderstem broccoli, Japanese omelette, edamame, pickled vegetables, dulse, sesame & soy dressing
✨ Mexican pulled pork, cauliflower, charred corn quinoa, roasted sweet potato, boiled egg, greens, fire-roasted salsa tatemada, soured cream,
pickled habanero onions, chilli sauce

Plus, bacon, sausage and egg butties for brekkie, because no one shoots well on an empty stomach.

What a brilliant evening we had at the Unfiltered Fair. We tried some stunning w**es from **e .w**e and ✨

English w**e has come on so far, to the point where it’s almost becoming our go-to. Small batch, not too alcoholic, often organic or biodynamic, and most of all delicious.

Frome has always been a place where art is celebrated, and it was amazing to see so much talent under one roof with .ferns .nation.art among them.

And a real treat to have oysters straight from Whitstable, from .buoys .

How lucky we are to live here 🤍
