Formed by singer-cellist Bonnie Schwarz and accordionist/synth player Pete Shaw after the pair found themselves stranded in New Zealand during the pandemic, the band have built a reputation for adventurous songwriting, infectious live energy and genuine connection with audiences.

In 2025, drummer Jen Walinetski (Miles Kane) joined the line-up, adding an even bigger rhythmic punch to their live sound.
Their UK Top 40 Folk-charting album Quarter-Life earned support from BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 5 Live, with Tom Robinson describing them as “musicianship at its 21st century best.”

Now, with new album Better for Now arriving in October, Good Habits enter their next chapter as a trio – a vibrant collision of storytelling, musicianship and sheer musical joy.
