Last but not least (although she IS the littlest adult member of our team!) is Suzie

Aunty Suzie makes sure we are all ok and keeps us all in line. She's our chief sorter-outer and money-counter.

Lovingly distracted by any small children that come to see us, and often confused 😂, we all adore her 🥰

Suzie is always going beyond the call of duty; collecting things we might need for TFCH or taking care of my daughter Vera, she's a total superstar ⭐

Let me introduce you to the wonderfully outrageous Chris... if he hasn't introduced himself to you already!

Front of house wiz, barista and cake-salesman, he regularly has us all giggling.

Memory like a sieve, luckily his forgetfulness doesn't line up with mine, so between us we seem to remember what we need to 😂

His writing looks like hieroglyphics, so what you order might not be what you get, but he's pretty much guaranteed to make your day.

Often mistaken for husband and wife, and even more often mistaken as the business owner thanks to his confidence and presence, we all love him to bits.

This is our lovely Mariela. Our kitchen queen.
She's often working single handedly in our little windowless (and very warm at the moment) kitchen.

Mariela is a brilliant baker and responsible for crafting all of our homemade cakes and biscuits.

Even-tempered, hard-working, loyal and beautiful inside and out, she's not just my chef, she's my friend too, and I'd be lost without her xx

Hi, I'm Becky 👋🏻
I'm the owner and manager of The Freshwater Coffee House!
Just me?! - Yep! For over 5 years now.

But I still say this is a family business. Will and Vera, my children, will often be seen here 'helping out' or hanging out, and my team are part of my chosen extended family. We feel like a family at TFCH.

So when we are mistaken for being relatives or for being married, we all just shrug and laugh; it's good to know we look like family to you too 🤎

☀️ ☀️ ☀️ Due to a lack of air-conditioning and facing south-west, we've taken the difficult decision to close at 2pm Mon-Thurs this week (22nd to 25th June inclusive)

The coffee house is just too warm for our staff to work in and uncomfortable for our customers after lunchtime, despite our best efforts! 🥵 🪭

We hope you understand and continue to support us 9am-2pm this week!
