To all our customers, this is a note we write with a mix of sadness and excitement for what's
next. After many wonderful years, we've made the difficult but necessary decision to close
the chip shop at the end of this month. Everything has its season, and while one chapter is
ending, we are wholeheartedly committed to making sure the next one is the best yet. We
owe a massive thank you to everyone who supported our takeaway over the years. That
chapter will always hold a special place for us, but this change will allow us to focus all our
energy on transforming the rest of our shop and giving the community the very best we can
offer. This is an investment in our future, and we couldn't be more excited to share the
improvements we're making: significantly extended opening hours, expanded Post Office
services, and a much better-stocked general store.
The new hours will take effect from March 30th and will be as follows:
● Monday – Saturday: 8am – 8pm
● Sunday: 10am – 6pm
As the light nights come back and people come out of hibernation, we want to be open and
available for longer.
Our Post Office services will now be accessible whenever the main store is open, offering,
but not limited to, the following convenient options:
● Amazon Returns: Enjoy quick and easy returns.
● Local Collect: Collect your parcels at a time that suits you, within our extended
opening hours.
● Limited Banking Services: Access essential everyday banking, including simple
cash withdrawals and deposits.
This means you can take your time getting home after work without rushing to collect a
parcel.
As well as longer opening times, we are dedicated to significantly increasing the stock in our
general store. Our focus will be on sourcing a wider variety of high-quality goods to meet the
daily needs of our community, ensuring a more comprehensive and convenient shopping
experience.
As always, though, our Ice cream will always remain front and centre, with our vans
continuing to serve areas such as Peterhead, Ellon and more. We are also excited to
announce that our vans will be available to cover local events and private functions.
Furthermore, as the summer approaches, we hope to expand our offerings of both whippy
ice cream and a variety of new and exciting flavours to enjoy.
