The Falcon Inn is within the historic village of Fotheringhay, famous for bearing the scars of a former castle where Mary, Queen of Scots met her premature death in 1587. The pub overlooks the fifteenth century Church of St Mary & All Saints on the river Nene.

Our Fish & Chip Friday has been around for over three and a half years, and in that time we’ve been incredibly proud to serve thousands of portions at just £10.

Truth be told… we’ve tried our best to keep it there for as long as possible.

Unfortunately, with the continued rise in the cost of ingredients, and pretty much everything else that goes into putting great food on the table, we have had to reevaluate our pricing

So, from this Friday, our Fish & Chip Friday offer will be £12.50. Still amazing quality, fresh haddock, still all homemade.

We know nobody likes a price increase, and we don’t make this decision lightly. But one thing that won’t change is our commitment to serving proper, freshly cooked fish and chips using the same great quality ingredients from great suppliers you’ve come to expect from us.

Thank you, as always, for supporting your local independent pub. Every visit genuinely helps businesses like ours continue doing what we love, and helps us support the local community by using local suppliers and hiring local people.
