After the devastating fire at the Grand Burstin last weekend, it’s been a pretty stressful few days for Folkestone and everyone who works around the Harbour.

But we’re VERY happy to say that Folkestone Harbour Arm is open again and your favourite independent businesses are back doing what they do best.

There’s been an incredible amount of work behind the scenes to get the Harbour safely back open, a new route to the carpark was no mean feat, and we’re hugely grateful to everyone who has helped make that happen.

So come for a wander, grab some grub, have a drink, breathe in some sea air and show a little love to the brilliant independents that make the Harbour what it is.

Oh and did we mention that it’s Wünder Harbour? Oompah oompah stick it oop yer joompah … There is a stein bar, German sausages, brass band and us peddling Black Forest hot chockies and our usual delicious fishy feasts.

This weekend it is only £5 for all day parking! And the weather is glorious. We’ll see you there.

Our thoughts are with the guests, staff and emergency responders following a fire at The Grand Burstin.

We are unable to access the Folkestone Harbour site today by foot or vehicle so have therefore been forced to close.

We sincerely hope you’ll join us tomorrow for delicious food, October fest themed drinks and Wünder Harbour fun.

We’re a small, independent business passionate about real food, genuine hospitality and creating a memorable experience for every customer who visits us.

Our kitchen is fast-paced, energetic and a lot of fun. No two days are the same, so we’re looking for people who enjoy being busy, use their initiative and genuinely take pride in doing a great job.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Aged 19+
• Reliable and punctual
• Friendly and confident with customers
• Calm under pressure
• Hardworking with a great sense of humour
• Keen to learn about food and flavour
• Available to work weekends and throughout the summer season

Hospitality experience is a bonus, but attitude, work ethic and enthusiasm matter far more to us.

In return you’ll be joining a supportive team, earning a competitive rate of pay, enjoying staff perks and spending your days working in one of the most beautiful spots on the Kent coast.

We’ve got some absolutely beautiful oysters & shellfish that deserve to be enjoyed, so we’ll be running a few specials tomorrow while stocks last!!

Shuck It & Sea is expanding its motley crew.

After some extra cash without selling your “sole”?

Fancy a bit of sea air with your side hustle?

Can you handle both absolute bedlam and suspicious levels of calm?

You might be exactly who we’re after …

The deal:
- As little as one 6hr shift a month (we love a low-commitment queen/king)
- Or plenty more hours if you catch the bug
- School hols = all hands on deck (7 days)
- Rest of the time = mainly Fri–Mon

New for summer:
Fridays & Saturdays we go full fishionista - open ‘til 9pm with a slightly fancier, low-key luxe evening vibe.

The reality:
- We open 11am-6pm most days, with a bit of graft either side of these hours
- Some shifts fly by in a blur
- Some are slower (hello deep cleans, stock counts & b**r line TLC)
- All are soundtracked by good music and chat within a fun, nurturing team

No experience needed - just good energy, reliability, and a willingness to get stuck in.
