Such a lovely man who was loved by all 🥰

After an exhausting 7 days of hard work sorting out and cleaning everything in site.The bar,cellar,garden and kitchen,and also restocking the bar cellar and kitchen,we're all absolutely knackered,thank you so much to Boo,Denny and Lou-Lou for helping to reserect the Royal Cheriton. We're now officially open,thank you so much to our lovely customers for a great day,and for using common sense and being sensible in these unchartered times. We will be open from 11-30 am as usual, and the staff will have total discretion on the day on when to close. From next Sunday roast lunches will return,from 12 till 5 so as to alleviate the pressure on the old girl in the kitchen lol,we advise booking,as walk ins might be unpredictable. We would like to thank you all for your cooperation and continued support in these unprecedented times. Best wishes Elaine and Gaz

CORONA VIRUS UPDATE

Dear friends and customers of the Royal Cheriton, it's been over a month now since pubs were allowed to open. After careful consideration, putting procedures in place and following government directives and re assessing our situation. We have decided to take the plunge and open as from Monday 31st August. On that bank holiday Monday 31st August we will open from 2 pm till ten pm,this will be for drinks only, there will be no food menu offered. On Tuesday 1st September we will open from 11-30 am till 11-00 pm,full menu will be available from 12 till 2-30 pm. The evening closing times may vary due to staff decisions on the day.
I would also politely ask,that everyone adheres to the government directives and staff decisions, so as to avoid conflict.
All the Management and Staff,thank you all for your continued loyalty and future support in these unprecedented times.

UPDATE ON THE ROYAL CHERITON OPENING.
Dear friends and customers of the Royal Cheriton.
After careful consideration and wads of paperwork on government directives, rules and regulations, and the doos and don'ts concerning the hospitality sector opening. We have decided to keep the Royal Cheriton closed for now,we will monitor how the re opening of the hospitality sector goes on the 4th July within the country,and we will re appraise the situation at the beginning of August. Due to all the government directives on reopening, at this point in time it would not be viable for us to open. As we would have to monitor and take details at the door,we would also have to have someone cleaning every twenty minutes and also table service. This obviously would mean extra staff per shift with less customers as we would have to limit the amount of people. This in itself would be a nightmare as how could we police this situation of who comes in and who we turn away, this wouldn't be fair on us our staff or our valued regulars.
