Having finally recovered from a wonderful w**e tour of Germany from the comfort of Findon wanted to share some pictures of a lovely evening.

Thanks to everyone who attended and to Joe Wadhams for hosting.

We will be taking a break from this now until January when we will be going classic with a good old fashioned Cheese and W**e night watch this space it will be a good one.

Things I agree to promote the pub!

Tomorrow we’re raising a glass to Germany with our fabulous Oktober W**e Fest, and we still have a couple of tables up for grabs!

I’ve just popped the w**es away to chill and I have to say, I’m rather excited to be one of the lucky people sampling them.

German w**es aren’t something I know a huge amount about, so this promises to be delicious, perfectly on theme AND educational. Who says w**e tasting isn’t a learning experience? *Hic!

THIS THURSDAY: A TASTE OF GERMANY

Our w**e voyage across Europe continues, and what better way to embrace October than with an evening exploring the w**es of Germany?

We’re delighted to have back Findon’s own Joe Wadhams, who will guide us through a carefully curated selection of six German w**es, paired with three delicious German inspired dishes designed to complement every pour.

Expect great w**e, delicious food and a little European escapism, all without leaving the Gun!

£45 per person

The evening begins at 7.30pm, with guests welcome to arrive from 7pm.

For ONE NIGHT only, we’re transforming the Bar into the Wi******er for a Shaun of the Dead inspired evening of food, drinks & questionable survival skills.

Taste the Movie...if you can keep your appetite!

Expect goulish fun, an immersive evening of zombie mayhem, movie-inspired food, themed drinks and plenty of opportunities to question whether that noise outside was actually a zombie…

THIS SUNDAY — BACK TO SCHOOL QUIZ

We hope you’ve been revising, because the bell is about to ring!

This event is now FULLY BOOKED, so this post is for all pupils who have secured their place.

REGISTER: We’ll be taking the register, so any unexplained absences will be noted and letters will be sent home.

ARRIVAL: From 7pm
CLASS STARTS: 7:30pm

UNIFORM: Strongly encouraged! Come dressed for the occasion and earn an extra point for your team if you nail the school theme.

SUBS: £8 per person

RECESS: We’ll be taking a break for school dinners, which are included in your £8.

DETENTION: Anyone arriving late or repeatedly heckling the teacher may find themselves in detention.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you all back to school for an evening of questionable knowledge, questionable behaviour and hopefully excellent attendance!

W**E ART WEDNESDAY IS THIS WEDNESDAY!

Fancy two hours of making, creating, getting messy and quaffing?

From 7.30 to 9.30pm we’ll be ripping, sticking, printing, scribbling and mark making our way to artistic greatness. Or at least having a jolly good time trying!

This month we’re taking inspiration from Brighton artist BONNIEANDCLYDEART and pairing our creative adventures with some rather lovely English w**es.

It’s £20 per person, including vino, because obviously we can’t expect creativity to happen without refreshments!

No experience needed, no pressure to be Picasso and absolutely no judgement if your masterpiece looks suspiciously like a piece of modern art.

There are still a few seats around our creative table, so come and join us.

DM or call to book your spot. Bring your imagination, we’ll provide the w**e!.
