Resharing the article from the P&J today while also adding another comment from myself as the owner of both Torta Findhorn and Torta by Katalin.

I would like to clarify, when I talked to the paper I mentioned how hard it was to put my entire life into the business and not have any family time left. I have also mentioned that due to risisng costs my cafe was no longer viable. These costs are not the rent which that article states, but other overhead costs such as electricity and increasing employee costs from April 2025.

I hope you all join me in thanking my lovely collagues and the Royal Findhorn Yacht Club for helping me to open and successfully run the cafe for 3 years.

My cake business Torta by Katalin will carry on providing delicious peivate cakes, home delivery afternoon teas and also hopefully grow by taking on more and more amazing events and weddings.

Sad Sunday news is that unfortunately Torta Findhorn is closing on the 31st January due to rising costs in 2025.

This has been the hardest decision we ever had to make and we are really sorry to upset so many of our family, friends, followers, regulars and potential new customers.

Not saying goodbye forever though as Katie will be going back to her amazing cakes so please follow tortabykatalin

For everyone who have purchased a voucher. You will be able to redeem against any types of cakes or afternoon teas delivered to your home.

We are still on holiday and we will be announcing our last few January opening days within the week coming.

We are truly sorry and always we loved having you all as our customers. We thank you for your support over the past 3 years.
