On the last Friday of every month we have the truly magnificent Magic Steve & Magic Rob join us for an incomparable evening of magical mastery. They’ll wander around the bar tables performing close up magic that really is incredible. Both are members of The Magic Circle and regularly bring other Magicians with them too. They start about 8.30 for 9pm, so make an evening of it tomorrow night, come for a pizza, have a drink or two and settle in for an amazing evening of wonderment 🎩🐰🍕🥂🍺💃🕺🏼

This Thursday is the last of the month so it’s Women’s Night here at The Lion. From 7pm I’m encouraging all you fabulous women here abouts to come along and meet up with other fabulous women. It’s a really easy, casual evening where we take over the top bar and just chat. And laugh. And maybe put the world to rights a little bit.
I’m really lucky as landlady in that I get to meet so many brilliant women here, but generally in a pub women don’t get to meet each other. I’m doing what I can to correct that. Come along on Thursday and you’ll see how lovely it can be 😊

We’re looking for someone to join our housekeeping team with a regular Sunday morning shift and occasional holiday cover at other times. Generally it’ll be 9am to 11am ish, with extra hours when we’ve had guests staying.
It’s good pay and a lovely work environment.

The work involves cleaning the bar areas and toilets, and mopping and vacuuming. When we’ve had guests, the bedrooms also need cleaning, the beds changing and the en suites cleaning. We have 4 guest rooms, but it’s very rare they would all need doing at once, and when they do the team tend to share the work load.

Calling all you fabulous women!!! It’s the last Thursday of the month again, the time when other fabulous women here abouts head to The Lion for a lovely evening of chitchat and laughter.
Arrange to meet friends here if you like, but don’t feel you have to - if you come along on your own we’ll find you a spot and in no time at all you feel part of the wonderfulness. We talk about whatever the f**k we want, put the world to rights, and always leave feeling more heard than we have all month.
