In the meantime, Sunday Roast continues at The Pig & Peacock, served from midday to 5pm.

The Farmhouse at Fincham is looking for its 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿.

We’re inviting people across Fincham, King’s Lynn and West Norfolk to nominate a registered charity or established not-for-profit community cause doing meaningful work locally.
⠀
The chosen organisation will become our partner for the remainder of the year, with practical support that could include promotion through our channels, suitable space for an agreed activity, hospitality support for an event and introductions to our wider community.
⠀
Perhaps it’s a cause that has helped someone you know. A small organisation quietly doing brilliant work. Or a group that simply deserves more people to know what they do.

You don’t need to be part of the charity to nominate them.
⠀

𝗠𝗨𝗗𝗗𝗬 𝗣𝗔𝗪𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘

There are some weekends that are just better with the dog along for the ride.
⠀
A good walk, somewhere warm to settle afterwards, perhaps something to eat while a tired pair of paws disappears under the table. That’s very much the idea here at The Farmhouse.
⠀
Four-legged guests are welcome in our designated dog-friendly areas of The Pig & Peacock bar and restaurant. Let us know when you book and we’ll find a comfortable table for everyone, with fresh drinking water always available and doggy menus too.
⠀
And if one afternoon isn’t quite enough, our dog-friendly bedrooms are in Damson Barn, with up to two dogs welcome per room. Just choose one of the designated dog-friendly Damson Barn rooms when booking so everything is ready for your arrival.
⠀
Then, of course, there are the walks.
⠀
You can start right here in Fincham with the Fincham Circular Walk, around 4½ miles of quiet lanes, field edges, woodland and grassland.
⠀
A short drive away, Shouldham Warren has marked woodland trails of 1km and 3km, while Sandringham Country Park is a lovely option if you fancy making more of a day of it among the trees.
⠀
If you’re venturing a little further, Norfolk isn’t exactly short of good places for walkies either.
⠀
There are big skies and coastal paths around Old Hunstanton and Holme, miles of woodland at Thetford Forest, and waterside walks around Horsey Windpump for a completely different sort of Norfolk day out. Just remember that seasonal access and dog restrictions can change, particularly around beaches, wildlife and livestock.
⠀
Back at The Farmhouse, if you need fresh water, extra waste bags or even help finding local veterinary care, just ask the team.
⠀
So whether it’s a Sunday lunch with your best friend under the table, a country walk followed by a drink at the bar, or a full dog-friendly Norfolk stay, there’s plenty here for both two-legged and four-legged guests.

It might be a charity that supported someone in your family at a difficult time. A local organisation giving people somewhere to turn. Or a group of volunteers doing something brilliant week after week without ever making much noise about it.

We’d like to hear about them.

The Farmhouse at Fincham is looking for its 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿, and we’re inviting people across Fincham, King’s Lynn and West Norfolk to nominate a registered charity or established not-for-profit community cause that deserves a little more support and recognition.

If there’s a cause close to your heart, perhaps one that has helped your family, your friends or your local community, we’d genuinely love to hear about them.
