UPDATE:
We will be reopening our doors this Thursday, 10th September, from 12pm.

When we made the decision to temporarily close two days ago, we knew we needed to take a step back and properly look at how we were running the restaurant and where we wanted to go from here.

This week has given us the chance to review our operations, protocols, capacity, service, kitchen, front of house and menu, as well as give the pub a much-needed deep clean and rearrange after a huge summer. There’s still plenty to do, and we’ll be working right up until we reopen and beyond. We’re not pretending everything has been fixed in a week, but we feel ready to move forward.

The summer also meant 70–80 hour working weeks and very little time with our family. For Steph especially, this week has given her some much-needed time with the kids and reminded us that we need to find a better balance.

We love The Honey Pot and want to build something that works for our family, our team and the business long-term. Because of that, we’ve made the decision that we will no longer be open seven days a week.

Opening Hours:

Wednesday 12pm – 9pm
Thursday 12pm – 9pm
Friday 12pm – 10pm
Saturday 12pm – 10pm
Sunday 12pm – 6pm

Thank you to everyone who has checked in, sent messages and supported us over the last few days. It has meant more than you know. We missed and can’t wait to see you again.

🐝 A little update from us at The Honey Pot 🐝
*We are reopening soon next week sometime, we will post an update early next week*
After a lot of thought, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to temporarily close The Honey Pot until further notice while we take some time for a much-needed business reset.
First and foremost, we just want to say thank you.
The support we’ve received since taking over The Honey Pot has honestly been incredible. From everyone who has come through the doors for a pint, a Sunday roast or Steak Night, to those who have joined us for our events, left us lovely reviews, recommended us to friends or simply stopped for a chat, thank you. ❤️
We’ve put our hearts and souls into this place, and that is exactly why we’re making this decision.
This is not the end of The Honey Pot.
We want this pub to have a long and sustainable future, and sometimes the right thing to do is stop, take stock and make changes rather than continuing to push forward simply because you're afraid to stop.
We also want to say a huge thank you to our team. They have worked incredibly hard alongside us and have been a massive part of everything we've achieved so far.
Unfortunately, anyone with an upcoming reservation will be contacted as those bookings will need to be cancelled. We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience, and when we reopen we'd like to offer anyone whose booking we've had to cancel 10% off their rescheduled visit as a small thank you for your understanding.
We don't want to put a date on reopening until we're confident we're ready. When those doors open again, we want it to be because we've made the changes needed to give The Honey Pot the best possible future.
So for now, it's not goodbye, just a little time to reset.
Thank you for supporting our little country pub, our team and our family. It means more to us than you probably realise.
We hope to see you all again soon. 🐝❤️

Our first Hive&Harmony fest was such a beautiful day filled with so many talented artists, lovely company, delicious food and absolutely unreal vibes. It meant the absolute world to Steph to have had so many people come together to share in music and creating memories in our new space. We laughed, danced, cried and sang together. We had the chance to connect with regulars on a deeper level, sharing heartfelt hugs as we watched the kids run wild in the garden. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us today, our dedicated staff who worked so hard to make this all happen, and all of the talented musicians for creating such a beautiful atmosphere with their sounds. A HUGE thank you to Melvyn Rutter - the first Muso to show up at our very first open mic who has supported us since the beginning and seen how far we have come, still with a long, exciting journey ahead. We are exhausted but unbelievably grateful and proud. We look forward to hosting many more of these! If you have any photos or videos, please share them with us and tag us!
