I have £103.50 that was collected in coffee and friends for a memorial bench for Gino. It’s not possible to go ahead with this now. I will pass it on to Gino’s family for them to donate to their chosen charity.

Thanks so much to everyone, the lovely models; Lorraine, Bev, Coral, Claire, Jules, Alan, Mark, Mike, Hannah & Kathleen you were wonderful! A massive thanks to Steph, compare for the evening and Jan & Janae for helping me out with everything. The community wardrobe for supplying the clothes and the wonderful job that they always do. Thanks also to Julie and Roseanne for manning the bar and everyone that came to make it such fun.

Long post alert I’m afraid…

Just a reminder about the Fashion Show next Friday 5th of September.
All the clothes have been donated to the Community wardrobe and we will be asking for donations on the night if you would like to take them home??

WHY buy them I hear you ask?…
Any money made from donations on the night will be given to Ferryside Men’s sheds, a local charity is dedicated to combat loneliness and depression and promote friendship. The members have been very supportive of Coffee And Friends during our time at Calon, and nothing is too much trouble.
They have to raise money to heat their building in the winter, which is freezing. 🥶
You can still come along for a fun evening even if you don’t want to buy… We have lovely models who are all volunteers. A lovely buffet will be provided, there is a raffle with fantastic prizes, new makeup and jewellery and the bar is open. In addition to this you will be supporting a great charity!
You can call in to the cafe and buy a raffle ticket if you can’t make it. Ashley x

As some of you may know Coffee And Friends will be closing its doors for the last time on September 12th. It’s been a wonderful 2 years, and I can say I’ve loved every minute, but with rising costs and a very small footfall and other constraints, sadly it’s not paying.
I’ll be very sad to go but it’s just not practical.
I want to say a huge thank you to all of my lovely regulars who came as customers and ended up as friends 💞, to everyone who has supported, shared my posts, booked me for functions, mentioned me to their friends, called in on my dog and even popped to the shop for me when I had a crisis! …..I will miss you all. 😔
I hope to see you at the fashion show 👗👘👔 on 5th of September, a week before I close. I’m hoping it will be a fun evening and a perfect way to say goodbye before I go. Until then Coffee And Friends will be open as usual. ☕️🍰🐾 xx
