Our junior academy is busier than ever with just under 100 children —but the vast majority are boys.

We know how intimidating it can be for a girl to drop into a group where she’s the only one. We want to change that, so we’re running a Girls Golf Project Trial Session on Sunday 18th October.

It’s a low-pressure, 90-minute trial for girls aged 9–13 to give golf a go, build basic skills, and meet other girls in a relaxed environment. No long-term commitment needed—just a simple, fun trial.

The RADIO WIMBORNE PUB QUIZ 2026 continues this Tuesday (28th July), when a team from The Ferndown Forest will be playing against a team from The Green Man. This is the first of three semi finals, and it will take place in the Ferndown Forest Golf Club bar.

You can listen LIVE, on 94.6fm, DAB or online, this Tuesday at 8pm, for an hour.

If you're going along to show your support at the Ferndown Forest on Tuesday evening, the fun starts at 7pm; the quiz starts at 7.30pm, and the live broadcast will be from 8pm. Your host and quizmaster will be Matt Fleming.

The next quiz will be the second semi-final, when The Cricketer's Arms will take on The Lion Hotel, and it will take place at The Cricketer's Arms, on Tues 4th August.

The grand final will take place on Tues 18th August -- but there's a lot of quizzing to do between now and then! See how many questions YOU can get right!
