For those of you who are not familiar with the brand I’ll give you an insight into myself and my background.

Nicknames: Bombhead 💣, Mattyboy
Age:45
Born and raised: South West London
Moved to Poole in 2002
Hobbies:Football, Wrestling, Film, Music, Cooking, Gym
Any talents? Impressions, Scooby doo and Arnold Schwarzenegger 🤣🤣🤣
Pointless fact: I used to run The Great South Run (10 miles) in fancy dress.

I started my journey in the kitchen working as a kitchen porter as most of us chefs do.

I’m classically French trained

In 2010 when our first Child Joanna was born, myself and Charlotte decided to start up our own catering business and that’s when Sweet As A Nut Catering (a nod to where I’m from) was born.
From starting with little buffets to large corporate events. In that time we have catered for 100’s of weddings and worked with many high profile companies including some amazing film shoots.

Does Sugar Belong on the Plate?
Let’s be honest: nothing brings people together—or divides a room—quite like a Sunday roast.
We’ve been finalizing our recipes this week, and a massive debate has broken out in our kitchen over one specific ingredient: Honey-glazed parsnips and carrots vs. savory veg.
Some of us think a touch of sweetness completely elevates the plate, while others firmly believe a Sunday roast should stay strictly savory from top to bottom.
👉 We need the community to settle this! Where do you stand?

Yesterday we were very lucky to be asked to cater for a lovely group at working alongside to create the perfect menu. We served starters of Tempura prawns and Tomato bruschetta followed by mains of salmon served with butternut squash , tenderstam broccoli and sage butter and pan roasted chicken breast , fondant potatoes , buttered carrots and creamed leeks. Dessert was a choice of either yummy pavlova or tempting creme brûlée. We had so much fun catering in such a beautiful venue. Had to get the action shot of Chef Matt hard at work.

Proper roast dinner, cooked by chefs, delivered straight to your door.
