Chloe has been part of the Waffle Shack team for over 2 years and is a proper hard grafter who always gives it her absolute everything! 💪🏼

She’s also become rather well known for her heavy-handed approach to equipment… 😂 From freezer door handles to jars, nothing is safe when Chloe is around! 🤣🔨

All jokes aside, Chloe is such a valued member of our team and loves working alongside the rest of the Waffle Shack crew. ❤️

And of course, we had to find out her favourite from our menu… and it’s COOKIE DOUGH! 🍪🤤

Next up is our rather shy Amy 😂😂 Her beautiful face doesn’t deserve to be hidden, but who are we to judge?! 😜

Amy joined us over 3 years ago and quickly worked her way up to Supervisor 😊 Her dedication to The Waffle Shack (and, of course, her love of a waffle!) has made her such an important part of our team. 🥰

She’s a multi-tasking whizz in our kitchen — one minute she’s flipping a crepe, the next she’s mixing up a milkshake! 🥞🥤

And finally… Amy’s favourite thing on the menu is our Cookie Dough 🍪🤤 — which she apparently enjoys best while sitting on the kitchen floor! 😂😂

We wouldn’t have her any other way! ❤️

Next up are the lovely Amy and Sophie, who both joined us over the summer! 💕

It didn’t take them long to prove that they’re more than capable when it comes to handling a waffle iron! 😊🧇

🎓 Amy is heading off to university, and while we’re incredibly proud of her, we’re also a little sad to see her go! We know she’s going to absolutely smash it, and thankfully, she’ll be helping us out during the holidays. ❤️

🌸 Sophie is our bubbly, friendly girl who has settled in brilliantly and bonded with all the other staff straight away. We couldn’t be happier to have her as part of the team!

So, what do they love most about working at The Waffle Shack?

It’s the WOW reaction they get from customers when they bring out their delicious creations! 😍🧇 And we can definitely understand why!

First up, meet our lovely Isla! 💕

Isla joined us at just 16 years old and has now been with us for over 3 years! 🎉🎉 What a change we’ve seen in her!

From a shy and quiet teenager to a cheeky, confident young lady who gives the boss a run for her money! 😂🙈

Isla loves spending time with the rest of the team and has become an excellent mentor to our newer staff members. 💕 She’s always happy to lend a hand and help others find their feet.

She also loves helping our customers choose their food and, when she’s not busy serving you, you’ll often find her enjoying one of our delicious Italian Toasties! 😋🥪

Strength Collective Events are bringing Felixstowe’s Strongest Man & Woman to Beach Street Felixstowe on Saturday 12th September 2026 — and this is going to be a serious spectacle!

🏆 8 COMPETITION CATEGORIES

Beginner, Novice, Intermediate & Open — with separate Men’s and Women’s categories.

Never competed in Strongman before? Beginner is specifically for first-time competitors, so this could be your chance to step up and give it a go!

🏋️ FIVE BIG STRONGMAN EVENTS

⚡ Viking Press — max reps in 60 seconds
💀 15” Axle Deadlift — max reps in 60 seconds
🔥 Frame Carry — 15m, turn & 15m back
💪 Yoke — 15m, turn & 15m back
🪨 Stone Accumulator — Last Athlete Standing!

The stones start at 40kg for women and 60kg for men, getting progressively heavier until we find the last man and woman standing.

And with 80+ athletes already listed across the categories, expect a HUGE day of competition. 🔥

👑 WHO WILL TAKE THE CROWN?

We’ll be awarding trophies to the TOP 3 in every category, before crowning…
