Showcasing one of our lunch items for the new summer menu: The Caprese Salad.

Fresh sliced creamy mozzarella layered with juicy beef tomatoes, scattered with fragrant basil leaves & finished with vibrant pesto with a drizzle of olive oil. Our Caprese Salad is a simple classic done properly- fresh, colourful & bursting with flavour.

Pictured with a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc, whose citrus notes & refreshing acidity complement the richness of the mozzarella with the sweetness of the tomatoes beautifully.

After weeks of delays & several very confusing delivery attempts, our progress flag is finally here & flying in the wind! Let it be known that, as well as our sister company La Vida, Loca will always be a safe space for any of our LGBTQ+ community to escape the daily struggles that life may put in front of you. Our door will always be open if you need somewhere to go or someone to talk to. (Apart from our days off Monday & Tuesday 😉😉)

Pride Month is a time to celebrate how far we’ve come, recognise the challenges that still exist, and stand alongside those who have spent generations fighting for equality and inclusion.

Showcasing one of our starters for the new summer menu: Poached Pear with Gorgonzola & Walnuts.

The first guest to try this during our soft launch period gave us the following feedback:
“The poached pear was, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever tasted. Perfectly soft without being mushy, packed with flavour and balanced between sweetness and freshness. The Gorgonzola just took it to a while new level, a savoury contrast that somehow worked amazingly with the pear. Too notch for the walnuts, just the right amount of crunch and nuttiness.”

Some dads taught us how to ride a bike. Some taught us how to change a tyre. Some taught us that a Sunday roast should never be rushed. This Father’s Day, gather the family around the table & celebrate the father figures who have been there through it all.

At Loca, we’re bringing back the Sunday Roast Bowl for Father’s Day. A giant Yorkshire pudding that fills your entire plate packed with a choice of chicken, beef, pork belly or nut roast. A Proper Cheeseburger. No Compromises. No ‘Free From’ Feeling.

For years here in Felixstowe, many gluten-intolerant residents have had to settle for the ‘safe option’ when dining out… The salad. The dish that wasn’t really what they fancied but happened to be the only thing they could eat. Here at Loca, we wanted to change that.

Introducing, The Lunchtime Cheeseburger. Loaded with flavour, packed with quality ingredients & designed so that gluten-intolerant diners can finally order the burger they’ve been craving without feeling like they’re missing out. You can even add extras like the bacon in our photo.

Because being gluten free shouldn’t mean settling for second best. It should mean enjoying exactly what everyone else is having- and enjoying every bite of it.

Also available as a VEGAN/ DAIRY NUT & GLUTEN free option (oh yes, we really do like to test our chefs with this new menu).

Exciting news ahead… RUDE & RECKLESS MAKE THEIR LA VIDA DEBUT THIS JUNE!

Felixstowe, get ready to dust off your dancing shoes because one of East Anglia’s most exciting live bands will be heading to La Vida for the VERY FIRST TIME.

On Friday 19th June 2026, Rude and Reckless bring their infectious blend of ska, 2 Tone and reggae classics to our little piece of heaven down the beach for what promises to be a full throttle night of live music, singalongs and packed dancefloors.

The event also marks the latest collaboration between La Vida and Loca Bar & Restaurant, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy a full evening out from start to finish. Those looking to make a night of it can book a pre-show dining experience at Loca before heading up for the live show.

This debut appearance from Rude & Reckless is expected to attract music lovers from across Suffolk and further afield. Lifelong ska fan and follower or simply someone who loves a great night out, this is a date that deserves a place in the diary.
