Saturday 27th June from 12pm, after months of hard work, we’ll finally be welcoming you all in! 🙌

We’ve got air con (you’re welcome ☀️), bubble tea, and of course the bao you’ve all been waiting for.

After months of hard work, planning and building, we’re finally ready to start showing you what we’ve been creating.

Inspired by the bright lights of Tokyo, the energy of K-Pop culture and the bold flavours of Asia, we’ve transformed Big Bro Bao into something bigger, bolder and better than ever before.

These are just the first two photos. We’ve got plenty more to reveal tomorrow. 👀🔥

Expect fluffy bao buns, loaded rice bowls, Japanese-inspired sides, bubble teas, cocktails, kids’ bento boxes, mochi and plenty of new surprises.

What started as a local independent food business is now taking its next step as a franchise-focused brand, and we’re incredibly excited for you to see what’s next.

We love putting our own spin on things, but we’ll always champion the place we call home. 💜

When we started designing our new mural, there was one thing we knew we wanted to keep — a little piece of Beach Street history.

Many of you will remember the iconic octopus that became part of the character of this place. Whilst the original artwork may be gone, we didn’t want it to be forgotten.

So we’ve given him a new life.

Hidden amongst our Felixstowe-inspired mural is a reincarnated version of the famous octopus, complete with his own bowl of noodles and a front-row seat to the next chapter of Beach Street.

You’ll also spot the Japanese lantern displaying the word 家族 (Kazoku) — meaning “Family”.

Because that’s what Big Bro Bao is really about.

Family.
Community.
Good food.
And creating something that brings people together.

Whilst businesses evolve, communities grow and artwork changes, it’s important to remember what came before.

Here’s to celebrating the past whilst building the future. 🐙🥢💜
