Thank you for all of your kind messages, I’d like to apologise for the abrupt closure earlier, obviously after I called the police, I told Zak about the crash, I was very shaken up and he shut the cafe immediately to come and be with me as I had to go to hospital.
I am awaiting another MRI, but already have 3 slipped discs and scoliosis and have been told I will likely need metal plates in my spine after this, but we’ll worry about that when we know for sure.
For anyone who uses the staplestreet road, I was travelling at around 30mph, it is legal to drive up to 60mph (Please don’t, it is entirely unsafe). Despite braking hard, my car did not stop completely due to the conditions of the road, as you can see there is a large gap we could have both passed at if the other driver was going a little slower, they were clearly unable to brake properly either, (However everyone in the other car is okay thank god).
Many of you have been following us from the day we opened, and know that we have our fair share of bad luck 😂
But I am truly grateful to have such caring, lovely friends and family (whilst that is the only department we are lucky in, it’s the only one that really matters).
We’ll keep you all updated as to what is going to happen next.
