The Anchor Inn is a beautiful newly refurbished 300 year old pub, just a few minutes walk from Faversham town centre at the terminus of Abbey Street, one of the finest preserved medieval streets in England, and very close to the historic Faversham creek. Some of the beams in the pub are reported to be from the old Abbey in Faversham. With a variety of real ales on hand, live music every Sunday evening and a peaceful garden, The Anchor is well-worth seeking out and a great place to stop when enjoying a stroll through historic Faversham or a peaceful walk or cycle along the creekside.

🐝 Our little garden visitors 🐝

We’ve got some very special guests making themselves at home in The Anchor garden at the moment… mining bees! 🧡

I think they’re trying to save the grass after Hop Festival 🤣🐝

These little bees are busy doing their bit for nature, making their homes in the ground and helping to pollinate the flowers around us.

They might look a little different to the bees you’re used to seeing, but they’re fascinating little creatures and an important part of our ecosystem.

So, if you spot a few buzzing around the garden, don’t worry — they’re just getting on with their busy bee lives! 🐝🌼

We love seeing a little bit of nature thriving in our garden… even if the grass is still recovering from Hop Fest! 🍻🤣

We’ve already had some great things happening here, including:
🎨 Sip & Paint afternoons
🎲 Games nights, including Blood on the Clocktower
🇪🇸 🇫🇷 Spanish & French lessons

And we’d love to hear from you…

Do you run a group, teach a class, organise a club or have an idea for an evening or lunchtime event that you’d like to host?

Maybe you’ve always fancied running a book club, craft group, quiz, workshop, language class, social meet-up or something completely different!

We have the space, the bar, food and plenty of enthusiasm — so if you have an idea, come and chat to us!
