Despite the bright sunshine today, it’s starting to feel a bit autumnal…

It’s not quite light the fire weather yet, but there’s a definite change in the air — crisp walks, rustling leaves and, we think, a very good excuse for a pub roast afterwards.

So, is it time we retired the cold roast & salad option until next year?

And while we’re embracing autumn, perhaps our Summer Sundaes should make way for something a little more seasonal too…

We’re thinking Toffee Apple, Gingerbread or Hot Chocolate Fudge for an autumn/winter makeover — but nothing’s decided yet. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆?

As ever, Sunday means proper roasts, pub favourites and specials — or, if you’re bringing the family or a few friends, one of our Sunday Platters.

Water leaks? Roadworks? We’re still here! 🍽️

Despite water leaks at both ends of the village — and the possibility of some road closures — we’re open, accessible, and the kitchen is ready to go!

And it’s Happy Monday, with our £15 two-course offer alongside the usual menu. Roast beef or pork is on there too, so Monday lunch is looking rather good, and great value....

Serving lunch from 12 noon and dinner from 6pm.

Due to a very understandable cancellation, we’ve suddenly got space for 2 people at next Friday’s Oktoberfest Supper Club.

We’re usually fully booked (and often have a waiting list), so this is a rare chance for those of you who aren’t organised enough to book months in advance — or who simply prefer a little more spontaneity — to join us!
