Iced oat flat white on an early summer morning for me please 😋

My favourite time in the coffee shop is mid week - pre 8 am. With the sun shining, and the town dogs mincing around in the square , the day is full of potential but still feels peaceful. Commuters catch up with George about their latest endeavour or project, and have their daily takeout coffee . Some sit in and have a read, an early morning laptop moment, or a smoke outside. Our daughter greets everyone by name and potters on her own projects or watches the buses go by. It’s a vibe, quite European feeling, and if it didn’t feel so special for being fleeting - I’d live in this spot .

Thank you for making the demand what it is, we’ve been really enjoying our beautiful new eureka grinders & conti espresso machine. Only a bad craftsman blames his tools, but let’s be real, this new kit is making service faster and our lives easier already. We are precise, we weigh and time every shot, and that takes time with ‘older’ kit, and we were overworking our machine. Welcoming in the new, and the ease of life it enables us whilst keeping our standards at the highest.

We’ve been really enjoying Dark Arts Coffee , having been inspired to feature them when we were over at Darkroom Espresso (check it out if you’re out Swindon way!).

Our current filter is ‘The Moonlight Song’ from Rwanda 🇷🇼 with notes of apple juice, wine gums & black tea

Our Current guest espresso is called ‘Eternal Light’ , from Colombia 🇨🇴 with notes of blood orange, apricot & earl grey
