If there’s one thing cats have mastered, it’s the art of taking it easy. Find a comfy spot, settle in, stretch out and let the world carry on without you for a while. 😴

Now, we’re not saying you should spend all day lounging about… but if you fancy putting your paws up, enjoying a pint and having a good old natter, you know where to find us! 🍺

🎱 WHAT A BINGO NIGHT! 🎉

The Golden Bowler was buzzing last night, with plenty of anticipation, fingers crossed and eyes firmly fixed on those numbers! 😁 There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a Bingo night when the wins start coming in!

We had some lovely lucky winners, one very lucky lady won two prizes on one game, and two of our prizes were shared, including one of our Full House wins, which was split between THREE lucky winners! 🏆💷 That's a lot of celebrating going on!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a cracking evening. 💛

📸 Look out for our lucky winners in the photos! We've captured some of the smiles from the night, although we always respect anyone who'd rather stay behind the camera - no pressure to pose here! 😉

📣 A little heads-up for our Bingo fans!

Our next Bingo night on Wednesday 28th October is already FULLY BOOKED! 🎟️

However, plans can change and tables sometimes become available before the night. If you'd like to be added to our cancellation list, just let us know and we'll get in touch if a space becomes available.

Good luck to everyone hoping for that lucky call - and we'll see you at the next one! 🎱

Don't forget I'm looking for Gosport's Pub of the Year!

We have some fantastic pubs across Gosport, Lee-on-the-Solent, Stubbington and Hill Head, and I want to celebrate them!

Our local pubs are at the heart of our communities. They're places where friends and neighbours come together, local jobs are supported and countless good causes benefit from fundraising and community events.

But pubs are facing huge pressures from rising bills and business rates which increase the cost of running their businesses.

That's why I'm launching my Pub of the Year competition, to recognise the brilliant landlords, staff and teams who work so hard to keep our locals going.

🍺 Here's how it works:

Nominations are open until Friday 23 October, when the five pubs with the most nominations will go head-to-head in a final public vote for one week.

🏆 I'll announce the winner on Sunday 1 November!

Whether it's the entertainment, the b**r, the staff, the food or simply the warm welcome you always receive, I want to hear why your favourite pub deserves to win.

Some weekends call for a pint of something lovely. Others call for a nice glass of w**e. And some call for not having to choose! 😉

Tomorrow at the Golden Bowler, our Hop & Vine brings the two together — a pint of real ale and a medium glass of house w**e for £10.20 - and don't worry about the choice as our range of house w**es is as varied as our real ales 🍻

Available from 1pm to 7pm, so whether you're calling in for a catch-up, meeting a mate or simply fancy a change of scenery, we'll look forward to seeing you.
