🍳 Café Strand Is Closing: Heavy Heart & Fond Farewells ☕️

It’s with a heavy heart that we have to announce Café Strand is closing. Rising stock prices and the cost of living mean we can no longer keep operating. 😢

It’s been an amazing ride — one I couldn’t have achieved without my incredible team. You guys are truly awesome. ❤️‍🩹

We’ve also been so lucky to have such wonderful regulars. Your support has meant the world to us, and we’ll miss you all dearly. ☕💛

We’ll be closed this week from Monday 21 April to Friday 25 April.

Our final days will be this Saturday 26 April and Sunday 27 April, with a reduced menu — so please come by and say goodbye.

"A gem of Falmouth town, The Stand has become an almost weekly pit-stop for me, to hideaway and people watch comforted by a full Cornish or English with good local sausages and mushrooms cooked tastefully.

The service is always warm and conscientious with a full provision of available condiments. A usually welcome playlist or radio runs with some pop classics or alternative hits, if I'm not listening to a podcast.

A good place to meet a friend for a catch-up and they serve a respectable standard of coffee for an traditional English 'greasy spoon' style caf. It's also one of the only places I know locally where I can happily request fried bread in place of toast. Delicious.

The location is ideal, central and offers a feeling of timelessness, as the world goes by around you, safe in a comfortable, unimposing setting where you guaranteed service with a smile and even the option of noodle Ramen among the other dishes on the menu. Grab a newspaper, crossword, a good friend or a good cuppa, pull up a chair and tuck in!"
