Falmouth Cafe sci

Falmouth Cafe sci This is a local discussion group, for talks on science subjects (broadly); and then discussion. The discussion is as important as the talk.

A friendly reminder that our primary page is now Cornwall Science Community, where we keep up to date with networking, information, and events, including Cafe Sci.

We're incredibly glad to have you join us, and encourage you to interact with us via our active page.

We are taking a break over summer from scheduled Cafe Sci talks and events, but we're already lining up future events and hope to see you afterwards.

We've been focusing on our primary Cornwall Science Committee page, making it the best it can be, to engage with science, the community, and our event collaborators.
While we still continue to run our regular Cafe Sci, we're concentrating on keeping all our news, events, and posts in one place.
So head on over to Cornwall Science Community and be sure to like and follow us there for all our up to date news and events.

The next Cafe Sci talk - brought to you these days by the Cornwall Science Community - is an exploration of the connections and differences between science and history, with implications for the future direction of 21st Century Science.

It's approached through the telling and re-telling of the story of an extraordinary man in extraordinary times - John of Trevisa, Cornishman, mediaeval cleric, rebel, and translator.

You can join the talk, live, via Eventbrite; or catch the recording later, via the CSC YouTube channel.

Robin Johnson will be giving a talk about John of Trevisa, a Cornish man who then translated Aristotle’s science writings into English.
