Saturday at felt a bit special.

Huge thanks to Charlie for hosting. He kept things flowing like an absolute pro and made life very easy for Head Chef Jack and I 🤘

Jack filleted turbot first thing that morning before doing something most people wouldn’t, cooking the head too. Turns out the best bits aren’t always the obvious ones.

The fillet came with colourful courgettes and watching people run up for tasters made me ridiculously proud.

It’s heading onto Jack’s specials board soon, so if you want first shout when it lands, comment below 👇

We also put 10 to the test with martinis and a few split-base Old Fashioneds. Charlie somehow ended up with a whole martini to himself, purely for research purposes obviously 🍸

Huge thanks to for having us. Sunshine, good people, great food and a crowd willing to eat fish head. We’ll take that 🤘

Smoked lamb, tendersteam, anchovies, harissa

Leaf dressed in lamb spices and a little sherry vinegar

Tendersteam charred and dressed in a touch of hot honey

Harissa on the plate underneath.

- VIEW: containing water as a reminder that the world is greater than the view over our garden and the micro micro drama existing in the average working week
- DRINK. A drink containing grape or grain alongside a long cup of water because we know that life depends on it and we die if we don’t.
- CHAT - add at least one person who doesn’t get on your nerves to fulfil the emotional requirements that the human brain functions best on…stupid jokes and useless chit chat
