❤️ Raising a glass to our Ellie ❤️

This Friday, 2nd October, would have been our beautiful Ellie’s 21st birthday, and although we wish more than anything that she was here to celebrate with us, we want to take a little time to remember her and the very special girl she was. 💔❤️

Ellie had a way of making absolutely everyone feel welcome, whether she’d known you for years or had only just met you. Her beautiful giggle, her cheeky personality and her absolute fearlessness made her who she was. From pulling chairs away to giving people frights, she brought so much laughter and happiness wherever she went.

It breaks our hearts that Ellie doesn’t get to celebrate her birthday with us 💔 We had hoped to hold a charity night for Ellie this Friday, but unfortunately, circumstances haven’t allowed us to make that happen. We will, however, be dedicating our Halloween charity night to Ellie and raising money for the Ellie Murray Football School, set up by her coach in her memory. ❤️⚽️

For now, we’d love for you to join us at the Roman Bar from around 8pm this Friday to raise a glass to Ellie. Share a memory, tell a story, have a laugh and help us celebrate the wonderful girl who brought so much joy to so many people.

Happy 21st birthday, Ellie. ❤️

You are missed more than words can say, loved more than you’ll ever know, and will always have a special place in our hearts.

🚨 ROMAN BAR LOST PROPERTY CLEAR-OUT! 🚨

Right… we’ve officially had enough 😂

We’ve got a collection of clothes, shoes, jackets and various random belongings that have been abandoned in the pub over time 👕👟🧥

And because apparently we’re now a charity shop/storage facility, there’s even a bloody COUCH PILLOW in the pile 🤣🤣

If you recognise anything that’s yours, come and claim it before Wednesday 23rd September!

After that, anything still unclaimed will be off to charity ❤️

🩵⚽️ ELLIE’S MEMORIAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT ⚽️🩵

What a brilliant day we had yesterday at Ellie’s memorial football tournament. 🥹🩷

Now… we may not have won a single game 😂 but every single one of us put our heart and soul into it for our girl, and that’s what mattered 🥰

A massive thank you to Scott and the Central Ladies team for all your support and for hosting such a special day. It was honestly so lovely to see everyone come together to remember Ellie through something she loved so much — football. ⚽️🩵

A huge thank you to every single one of our players who took part, including those who jumped in at the last minute to help us out. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you! 🥹👏

And a special shoutout to our Players of the Match — Wendy Wright & Sarah Whitfield 🏆🩷 You both absolutely smashed it and deserve a huge well done! 👏⚽️

Also a huge thank you to our coach Stephen Dunlop who gave up his time to train the girls, we know it wasn’t an easy job 🤣 but what a team we ended up with 🩵

And of course, a massive thank you to all the other teams who took part and showed us nothing but kindness on the pitch… especially for taking it easy on us and kindly allowing us a few goals 😂😂 We know you could’ve absolutely battered us, so we appreciate you letting us have our wee moments of glory! 🥹⚽️Your sportsmanship, support and good humour made the day even more special — although we’re pretty sure some of you were just feeling sorry for us! 😂🩷

We might not be footballers… and our results definitely proved that 😂… but we gave it everything we had, had plenty of laughs, and most importantly, we got to spend the day remembering our girl 🩵

Ellie was at the heart of it all, and we hope she was looking down yesterday with that big smile of hers. 🥹🤍

💙 This Weekend 💙

There will be no fixture for Central Ladies this weekend as we come together to take part in the Ellie Murray Memorial Tournament.

It’s a day that means so much to everyone at our club—a chance to remember Ellie, celebrate her life, and honour the incredible person she was. Her smile, kindness and love for the game will never be forgotten, and she continues to hold a special place in all our hearts.

We’re proud to be part of a day that brings family, friends and the football community together in her memory.

We’ll see you all there as we remember Ellie and celebrate her legacy. 💙🦋
