Hello lovely people ❤️

I have two ladies’ bikes that I’d like to give away free of charge.

🚲 Electric bike – the bike is in excellent condition and has barely been used. Unfortunately, I bought the wrong replacement battery, so it will need a new battery, which can be ordered separately. The original battery has been sitting at home, and the bike has hardly been out, so it’s basically brand new.

🚲 Standard bike – a comfortable ladies’ bike with gears, easy to ride and in good condition.

If you or someone you know could make use of either bike, please get in touch.

Of course, they are completely free, but if anyone would like to make a small donation, it would be very welcome as I plan to donate money to Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity. As many of you know, I have a big soft spot for helping children ❤️🙏🏼

Thank you!

WOW… what a moment for all of us at The Allotment Café ❤️

We are GRAND FINALIST for best cafe in SCOTLAND.

We are incredibly proud to be featured in the Falkirk Herald and even prouder to continue serving our amazing community every single day.

Winning Best Café in Falkirk for FIVE consecutive years means more than words can explain. This café has never just been about food — it’s about people, memories, friendships, celebrations, and creating a welcoming place where everyone feels at home.

From 1st birthdays to 90th celebrations, morning coffees to afternoon catch-ups, we’re honoured to be part of so many special moments in people’s lives.

Hospitality is not easy. Rising food costs, taxes, wages, suppliers, and equipment challenges make things harder every year — but our goal has always stayed the same:

1- Affordable food
2-Comfortable dining
3-Great value for our community
4-A warm welcome every day
5-Smile

That’s why we’ve made the decision to CAP OUR PRICES for the whole year — because we believe people deserve quality food without worrying about huge price increases.

Thank you to every customer who supports us, shares kind words, brings family and friends, and continues to choose The Allotment Café.

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible team. You are not just staff — you are family ❤️

The journey continues… and the best is still to come.

Spring Menu 2026

Our aim has always been to create an affordable menu and a comfortable dining experience for everyone in our community.

We are not interested in becoming millionaires — our priority is giving people real value for their money and creating a welcoming place where memories are made.

When I first took over the café, former Centre Managers Suzanne Arkinson and Margaret Foy asked me, “What’s your goal?”
My answer was simple:
“To create a destination café where memories are created.”

Hospitality is full of challenges. Rising food prices, taxes, staff costs, national minimum wage increases, supplier costs, and even equipment breakages all make things harder every year.

Despite this, we will always try our best to keep our pricing fair and affordable for everyone. We believe there is no point in taking people’s money if it leaves them struggling.

Thank you for been with us.

Well… the day has finally arrived!! ❤️🏴

Tonight we’re heading to Edinburgh for the Scotlands Business Awards

To even be in the final is already such a huge achievement for us here at The Allotment Cafe Falkirk and to win would be truly remarkable.

I keep thinking back to 7 years ago, walking into the Howgate to take over this little cafe. I was asked, “What’s your goal?”My answer was simple — to make this a destination place to visit.

Today, standing here as finalists, I feel incredibly proud of how far we’ve come.

We couldn’t have done this without our amazing community and our wonderful customers — not just locally, but from all over Scotland and even down south. It means so much when people visit Falkirk and we’re recommended in the street — that kind of support is everything love you FALKIRK 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thank you all for your votes, your kind words, and your continued support.

Tonight, we raise a glass not only to this journey, but also to those special customers who loved coming to the cafe and are sadly no longer with us. They will always be part of our story❤️

Let’s go and give it our all .

A protected, award-winning recipe from the Isle of Lewis, rich in flavour and tradition.

• Haggis (Campbell’s Local Produce)
Locally sourced and prepared using traditional Scottish methods for a hearty, authentic taste.

• Cheshire Cheese (Spinneyfields)
Supplied from Cheshire and freshly hand-grated in-house—twice—for the perfect melt and texture.

• Farm Eggs (Glenshane)
Fresh, free-range eggs with rich golden yolks and full flavour.

• Scottish Lorne Sausage
A classic square sausage, well-seasoned and full of traditional character.

• Irish Link Sausages
Juicy, high-quality pork sausages with a comforting, classic flavour.

• Homemade Lentil Soup (Scottish Lentils)
Wholesome, hearty and made fresh—simple ingredients done right.

We’re proud to serve honest food made with care, quality, and a passion for great flavour.

A warm Scottish welcome to the newest member of Team Wilma 💛

Wilma is truly family-focused and has a genuine passion for helping her community.

Let me share a little story…

Last week, we had an incident where one of our lovely customers fell outside our business. Our staff were there to help, and so were Wilma and her family — even though they didn’t know her.

A few days later, Wilma came back into the café and asked me, “Have you heard how that lady is doing?” I thanked her for her kindness — it really meant a lot.

Later that same day, I was checking through our recruitment post from last month. The first email I opened was from Wilma. I gave her a call and said, “Good morning, it’s Erdal from Allotment — are you still looking for a job?”

She replied, “Yes… I was actually in your café just a couple of hours ago asking about that lady.”

I couldn’t believe it — what a beautiful and genuine way to connect with someone you’ve never met before.

We decided to give Wilma the opportunity to join our team… and so far, we couldn’t be happier 😊

Good afternoon everyone ☀️

Just checking if any of my lovely customers may have accidentally left their house key at the café this morning? Please get in touch if it might be yours 😊

It’s currently being a very loyal customer — hasn’t left all day, but unfortunately doesn’t tip and keeps trying to unlock the biscuit tin 🔑😂

Pop me a message if it belongs to you!

Regards
Erdal
