🏆 Jamie Thomson Volunteer Award – Nominations Open! 🏆

In honour of Jamie, who was an incredible volunteer and dedicated so much of his time and heart to our community, it feels only fitting that this special award should be named after him.

With the kind permission and support of Jamie’s family, the Jamie Thomson Volunteer Award will celebrate his legacy and recognise those who, like Jamie, go above and beyond to make a difference in our community.

A fitting tribute to a truly special person who gave so much to other groups and organisations and whose contribution will never be forgotten.

The Jamie Thomson Volunteer Award is for recognising volunteers whose kindness, dedication and commitment make a positive difference to others.

Are you an Eyemouth-based organisation, community group or business with an amazing volunteer who deserves to be recognised?

If you know someone who goes above and beyond to support your organisation or the wider Eyemouth community, we would love to hear about them.

📧 To request an application form, please email [email protected]

📅 The closing date for nominations is 20th November.

Please share and help us celebrate the wonderful volunteers who make such a difference throughout Eyemouth! 💙

Just to clarify the situation regarding disabled parking for Eyemouth Hippodrome. There are two disabled bays on Harbour Road, one outside the Hippodrome and one by Kult Fitness. However, if you are a blue badge holder you can park anywhere on Harbour Road for free as long as you display your blue badge. The signs by the parking machines say different, but I have had this confirmed by Eyemouth Harbour Trust staff this morning.

Also please be aware that there is level access to the Hippodrome for the less abled via the side door 🙂

Just to clarify, Splash and the Splash Brunch Hub are moving, but the larder will remain in Eyemouth Parish Church.

** WE ARE MOVING HOME - TO THE HIPPODROME! **

You may have noticed a lot of to-ing and fro-ing between the Masons' Hall and the Hippodrome over the last couple of weeks - that's because we are moving our centre of operation to the Hippdrome (aka old Fishermen's Mission).

A couple of months back we moved the Women's Group across because we had outgrown the Masons' Hall, and needed level access for the less abled members of the group. Then over the last couple of weeks, we moved into the office, and next week we will be moving Splash Brunch Hub across too, with our first Brunch Hub at the Hippo being on Thursday 15th October. Its going to make life so much easier to have everything under one roof, so its a really exciting development for us.

Many thanks to the Masons and to Eyemouth Community Centre for providing us with a home over the last few years.

Hi folks, looking for a wee hand. Someone has borrowed one of our grey bins. Looking at our security cameras it was most likely early this morning (Saturday). They're really heavily used, as you can see we normally have three grey bins, so we do need it back. It has blue tape on its hinge and KIRK in white writing down the side. If anyone spots it please do get in touch letting us know where it is and we'll happily retrieve it. Also our green bin that the larder uses took a wee walk too, so they may be together somewhere. Thanks in advance
