Please call ahead as opening times vary depending on weather and reservations. The River Exe Cafe is Devon's only floating cafe. We are right in the middle of the Exe Estuary and can only be accessed by boat from Exmouth. The views from the Cafe are stunning and the sunsets spectacular. We serve delicious, locally sourced food, specialising in seafood. You can catch

the Water Taxi (@£5 return) from the Pontoon in Exmouth Marina which we can organise for you at the time of booking. The journey takes approx 20mins with beautiful scenery all the way. We welcome all age groups aboard and are dog friendly. Table Booking is essential. Wrap up warm for the journey across especially in April. Please call us for any other information. We know the weather is up and down but give us a show of hands as to who's heading out with the boat this weekend? Own boats make our weekends and we know you love a bank holiday!

Come by sail, paddle, canoe, kayak or motor - we can't guarantee a table but we know you'll double (or triple up).

Bear with us when busy but you'll find the hatch open from the big flags heading up the pole! All weather dependent of course 😜

Don't let the Bank Holiday weekend up-end your dining plans and give this a little watch as a quick guide to arriving at the River Exe Cafe so your visit starts stress-free!

We recommend getting to the water taxi little line up about 15 minutes before your booking time (your booking time is your water taxi time), and there is parking both in the marina, and at Camperdown Terrace car park.

The marina has coffee spots at Mariners and The Point, or if you fancy a pint The Beach is just opposite our shore-shop.
