Inching from one vine to the next discarding excess shoots in pretty close weather conditions. One of those jobs that you feel like skipping, but absolutely cannot. Canopy management, fruit support, next year's pruning - all wrapped up in what seems a simple case of snapping off shoots.

Swanaford Sunday openings are harder to find than hen's teeth, but that's exactly what's happening this weekend. We are open 10 till 5 today, tomorrow and Sunday for food, drinks and self guided tours with no booking necessary.

With the sun scheduled for non-stop shining, it will be a glorious weekend to pay us a visit.

Please note that Saturday's 11.30am Guided Tour is SOLD OUT but the 11.30am Tour on Sunday has a few spots left. DM if you'd like to join.

Looking at this Dog Rose in the vineyard (thinking of eating it tbh after last week's foraging course) and wondered why it has such a horrible name. Answer? Ancient cure for being bitten by a mad dog. 'Just chew this fragrant pale pink petal, Æthelstan, and that ragged diseased wound will be golden.' 🤔

What you're looking at is our seriously delicious pinot noir rosé '25 arriving back in the tank after going through filtering. It's our first still rosé, a limited release beauty that is now in the bottle and will be available from the vineyard in a few weeks. A summer delight, it smells of intense strawberry with a hint of black pepper and tastes of red fruit, with elegant earthiness. Move over , the Swan has arrived.
