Empty plates, contented diners and wide smiles provide us with all the motivation we need. There's a proud pedigree behind the team at the Jack and Craig's cooking has confidence, precision and excitement in equal measure. Winter 2023 marks the continuation of our 30th year as a Devon dining institution. Our beef and pork travel no distance at all, chicken and duck are both free range. Local game

features on the Specials board when birds are in season and at their best. During the warmer months there is a stylish courtyard for dining alfresco. As a venue the Jack can also host wedding receptions, conferences, large parties and breakfast meetings. We will always go the extra mile to try and cater for specific requirements and to surpass our guests expectations.

As many of you know, the Jack has been raising money for FORCE for many years now. Now more than ever, as we build on our community here at the pub, we are seeing how many of our customers’ lives are being turned upside down by cancer.

To those of you who have shared with us your personal news over the past few weeks/months/years, we are truly touched and this is the absolute least we could do for you 💚

Craig and I will be running the Torbay half marathon on the 20th September and fundraising for FORCE 🏃‍♀️ 🏃

Through the summer we serve our relaxed Courtyard menu - small plates and sharing slates, fizz, cold pints, whatever you fancy.

No need to book, just find a table and let us do the rest. Dogs are welcome too.

Available Thursday and Friday 12-2pm and 6-9pm, and Saturday 12-9pm (although not tomorrow as it’s our summer party!)
