I’m sad to say that I’m winding up Penguin Pizza.
It has been a wonderful 3 years! But the business has been at a crossroads for a while, invest and expand or wind up and do something else and having worked my entire life in hospitality I have no desire to be working most weekends and evenings when I could be spending time with my family. I’ve been offered a great 9-5 position and I’ve accepted it.
Sophie and I would like to thank every single person that has ordered a pizza over the last 3 years, it’s been a privilege and a joy. The highlight of our week (especially during those dark lockdown days). It’s been a brilliant way of meeting our neighbours and the wider community, what a wonderful part of the world we live in.
So thank you all for buying my pizzas and giving rhythm and purpose to my week. As a stay at home dad it’s been invaluable at keeping me sane and not having to ask my wife for pocket money! Thank you for the feedback, recipe ideas and for all being so lovely all the time.
