Just a polite reminder that we are closed for food today as we are having a clean down and reset after one heck of a Father’s Day weekend!

Safe to say you drunk us dry and ate us out of house and home!

We are happy to announce that the village BBQ this year is set to be a big one! Spanning between the WMI and the Woolpack let’s raise some money!

Games, stalls, local produce, gifts, tombolas, face painting, bouncy castles, street food, bbq, music… This list goes on!

THE ANNUAL VILLAGE BBQ LIKE NEVER BEFORE!

SATURDAY 4TH JULY!

We are happy to announce that the village BBQ this year is set to be a big one! Spanning between the WMI and the Woolpack let’s raise some money!

Games, stalls, local produce, gifts, tombolas, face painting, bouncy castles, street food, bbq, music… This list goes on!

The footfall this year is set to be big with Caledonian Travel also bringing 150 guests throughout the day from far and wide to enjoy the wonderful village event.

WANT A STALL FOR THE EVENT?
Drop us a message and we will be in-touch as soon as possible. All stalls this year are inside the beautiful War Memorial Institute so what ever the weather (fingers crossed for ☀️) the event is set to be a great opportunity to sell your products with a huge footfall.

SUN SUN SUN ON A BANK HOLIDAY!
This is madness!

Just a quick note for today we have a function from 4pm in the rear beer garden and taproom,

FEAR NOT! We are still open for all our lovely locals with the pub available for indoor seating as well as the front beer garden.

We are currently fully booked for food but will try squeeze in walking for sandwiches where we can.

I sense organised caos which is what we love!

ON A COACH TRIP? Make sure it’s booked in!

Today we have seen 2 coaches pull up to visit the Woolpack and both sadly declined as they have not pre booked in with us.

As much as we would like to accept coaches on the spot our local residents & customers ALWAYS come first as well as the coaches that take the time to work with us. Today’s coach companies have previously been informed and still decide to damage a business.

So if you do arrive on a coach, and wonder why you have been refused, instead of being rude & undermining our team, wether we are quite or busy, simply speak to your coach company as all information can be found on our website.

Unfortunately most would rather work for themselves and sell you a false promise than work together. TBH I’d also ask for a refund 😃

To staff a bar is not an easy feat and is very costly in today’s climate to hazard a guess on wether we will be hit by coaches or not is no longer an option as I’ve lost my crystal ball which means it can be very damaging to our business because your tour guide had no courtesy to ask if we could manage.

TO THE COACH COMPANIES…WHY BOOK?
By booking we can ensure we are staffed correctly and give YOUR customers the trip they deserve. We don’t tolerate abusive behaviour towards staff because you can’t do your job and at the end of the day you still get paid and we are left with the collateral damage.

That been said…. We are fully booked this year in our coach diary! ❤️
