We’re looking for friendly, experienced people to join our team at The Old School Inn.

Our priority is finding people who are confident behind the bar, although experience of food service would also be a real advantage.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous bar experience
• Can work confidently and use their own initiative
• Is proactive and willing to get stuck in
• Provides genuinely great customer service
• Is reliable and available for evening and weekend shifts
• Will care about The Old School Inn and our customers as much as we do

At present, we have casual, as-and-when shifts available, with the possibility of more regular hours becoming available in the future.

🎄 96 days until Christmas! It might feel a little early, but we’re excited to share our Christmas menu at The Old School Inn.

Whether you’re planning a small family get-together, a big Christmas party, or a cosy meal for two where someone else does all the cooking, we’d love to welcome you.

Our festive menu is available 27 November to 24 December, by pre-booking only. Have a look at the menu and see what takes your fancy!

It’s time to wish our lovely Millie good luck as she heads off to Manchester to study fashion! 👗✨

Millie has been part of The Old School Inn for years, and we’ve loved watching her grow into the fabulous young woman she is today. She always brought a smile to work and loved a good chatter!

We’ll miss you, Millie, but we’re hoping uni holidays will bring you back for the odd shift. We’re not quite ready to give you up completely!

Our hardworking kitchen team are taking a well-deserved week’s holiday, so we've slightly revised our opening hours:

Wednesday: 4pm–close
Thursday: 4pm–close
Friday: 4pm–close
Saturday: 3pm–close
Sunday: 3pm–8pm

🍻 The bar is open, so please pop in and join us for a drink! So

Our kitchen reopens as normal on Thursday 24th September

🍂 We’ve been experimenting in the kitchen…

Yesterday, alongside our traditional Sunday Lunch, we tried out something a little different..…

Spiced Lamb En Croûte - served with crushed baby potatoes, spiced tenderstem broccoli, pickled carrot, crispy cauliflower and a beautifully rich aromatic gravy.

Feedback was amazing and customers absolutely loved it 😊

Our traditional Sunday Lunch is very much staying at the heart of Sundays at The Old School Inn — we wouldn’t dare mess with that! But with autumn just around the corner, we’re working on a few new seasonal dishes and Sunday specials to sit alongside all your favourites.

What a weekend at The Old School Inn ❤️🥂

This weekend we had the absolute privilege of hosting two very special celebrations.

First, a wonderful gathering of family and friends, coming together to celebrate an important life milestone ❤️ — followed by a fabulous 60th birthday celebration. And what a party it turned into!

Two completely different occasions, but both filled with family, friends, laughter and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

We genuinely feel privileged when people choose The Old School Inn for the moments that matter. We take great pride in making every event feel personal — working with you on the food, the room, the little details and everything in between.

The wonderful feedback we received from both celebrations really did make all the hard work worthwhile.

And a special mention has to go to our brilliant team. Weekends like this take a huge amount of work behind the scenes, and once again they went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. We’re incredibly lucky to have a team who care as much as we do about making every occasion special. ❤️

🎸 ROCK RIDGE COUNTY COUNCIL ARE BACK! 🎸

We’re kicking off the Bank Holiday weekend in style at the Old School Inn next Friday! 🍻🎶

When Rock Ridge County Council joined us for our open mic, their performance was so good that over 11,000 people watched them on our page! 🤯

Well… we thought that was pretty good evidence that we needed to get them back — so we did! 🙌

They’re coming back to the Old School Inn next Friday, and if you like great live music, you really don’t want to miss this one.
