The very difficult day of moving our animals has finally arrived. While it's been incredibly emotional saying goodbye, seeing them so happy, relaxed and settling into their forever home has made everything just that little bit easier.

Thank you to everyone who has shown so much love and concern for them. Knowing they've found such a wonderful home brings us great comfort ❤️

🐐 An update on our beloved animals 🫏

Since announcing the closure of our garden centre, the question we've been asked more than any other has been: "What's going to happen to the animals?"

We're delighted to let everyone know that every single one of our wonderful animals has now found a loving forever home TOGETHER, where they will continue to receive the care, attention and affection they deserve.

We know how much these animals have meant to so many families over the years. They've brought smiles, laughter and unforgettable memories to thousands of visitors, and we're incredibly grateful for all the love you've shown them.

Thank you to everyone who has asked about their welfare. We can now happily say they have a bright future ahead, and that gives us great comfort during this difficult time.

The animals are leaving the garden centre on Saturday 11th July. Here is a sneak peak of their new friends and home 🏡 .... and Cheryl the crazy donkey lady has been promised she can visit whenever she likes 🥰

From all of us, thank you for caring so much about our furry friends. ❤️

Garden Centre Update

Just to let everyone know that after many years of speculation the Garden Centre & Tea Room will be closing down on the 14th September.

We would like to thank all customers past and present for your custom and we will continue to trade as normal in The Lemon Tree Tea Room until the closing date and Holmes and Gardens will trade as normal until the 14th September or until there is no stock available.

The Lemon Tree Tea Room is looking for a new staff member with an immediate start 🍰

Candidates must be aged 16 or over.

The working days are:
Sunday 9.15 - End (approximately 4.00)
Monday 10 00 - 3.00
Tuesday 10.00 - 3.00

Training days may differ from the above days and hours.

The ideal candidate must be available to cover holidays and sickness.

The job includes serving customers front of house and taking payments but also includes food preparation, clearing tables, washing pots and other general kitchen duties.

The pay rate is national living wage and is paid weekly.

The successful applicant should ideally have catering experience, but this is not essential as training can be given.
