Thank you thank you to those that have donated to our Foodbank collection so far. Sara & I will do a shop later too. Last day to drop off will be Saturday as I want to get it to HQ early next week for distribution in time for the school holidays 🙏

Below is part of an email that went out from Good Company (the local foodbank) this week. Basically saying that whilst many of us are talking about the holidays we are about to go on, this is not possible for all…

“For many of the families and individuals we support, however, the approaching summer holidays are not associated with a well-earned break or time away. Instead, they bring anxiety about providing extra meals and snacks during the long school holiday, guilt over what they cannot afford to give their children, and worry about the additional costs that come with preparing for a new school year.”

This shouldn’t be the case. Let’s come together & help a little. (I know many of you donate regularly already)

I thought it would be a good time to do a collection at the cafe. Even if it’s a packet of biscuits, it might help.
So the plan is today Thursday Friday please please please on behalf of all those stressed out families & kids without snack or even meals, bring an item of food in & I will get it to the Foodbank.

Super busy week at the cafe ending with some catering for a birthday for some very special little boys. We’ve been making the food for H & B’s birthday since their 1st 5yrs ago ❤️
So feel like we deserve a treat ourselves at the fabulous Bar & Kitchen & a cheeky Marg (basically an electrolyte guys😉)
