On the run up to Christmas we organised a Grand Hamper Draw to raise money to support the very important work of SUDEP Action (Sudden & Unexpected Death in Epilepsy)
We were fundraising in memory of my son, Christopher and thanks to your amazing kindness and generosity you helped us to raise £4000 for the charity🙏❤️
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people who supported us in the cafe. The customers who came in every day, or a few times a week, the groups of wonderful ladies and gentlemen who graced the cafe on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. To all the organisations and clubs, and partners who used our services, a sincere thank you.
To all the council staff in the Castle who made us feel so welcome from our first day to our last, thank you🙏
To all the great people who worked in the cafe and kept it going for as long as it did, especially to Annette and Bethany who kept things going every day to the last one, thank you 🙏❤️
My last thank you is for my son, Christopher. We began our hospitality journey together in February 2017. We had our highs and lows, ups and downs but it was fun and we had a great run. It’s incredible the number of people who came into our lives and made it all possible and so special.
Today would have been Christopher’s 37th birthday. The whole adventure was always about him. I am just so grateful that he took me on the journey with him.
So as our hospitality journey comes to an end, on behalf of all my family I sincerely thank you for all your love, kindness and support.
And from my late son and I, “It’s good night from me and it’s good night from him”
