A little bit of disappointing news from me late on a Tuesday night!
Sadly, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to close our kitchen tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday.
Our chef had been enjoying a very well-deserved holiday and was all set to come home today. He boarded his flight, only for everyone to then be taken back off the plane after it was cancelled due to the UK air traffic control issues. Unfortunately, tomorrow’s flights have now also been cancelled.
We’re really hoping to have him safely back with us on Thursday, but for peace of mind for both our customers and the team, we’ve made the decision to close bookings for the next two days rather than take bookings we may not be able to honour.
We have looked at every option, including asking the team who have worked incredibly hard over the weekend to extend their hours and cover, but that would mean cancelling well-earned leave and asking even more of people who already give us a huge amount. That simply wouldn’t be fair.
Anyone who already has a table booked will be contacted directly tomorrow.
We know it’s disappointing, and believe me, it’s disappointing for us too. Sometimes things happen completely outside of your control, and unfortunately this is one of those times.
We’re really sorry and thank you, as always, for understanding and support.
The bar remains OPEN as normal, it’s just the kitchen taking an unexpected couple of days off! 🙁.
