Hi folks. We haven't been gigging the last few months due to Kyle's broken shoulder, but we're happy to say that he's on the mend, and we're able to squeeze in a gig before the end of the year.

We'll be doing an afternoon session at The Drouthy Laird on Sun 18th Dec. we may even throw in a couple of Xmas songs, assuming we can actually remember how to play our instruments 😁

A mixed bag but worth a read….

How is everyone doing since we said “au revoir” in August! Mrs Monster and I have finally gotten time to catch up on 5 years’ worth of house and garden maintenance. Trees have been topped, borders weeded, and walls painted. While that’s offered some distraction, I’m still suffering from serious Smokehouse withdrawal, missing the place and in particular the people.

With evenings free again I’ve joined the Nuts Poker league, playing every week at the Legion. It’s a great way to spend a winter Wednesday, no experience (or fortunes!) needed to play. If you’re interested, I’ve attached the flyer. Make friends, enjoy very reasonably priced pints and put a little into the Legions coffers too.

Next up I need to say a big thank you! We were receiving 5-star reviews across all our platforms right up until we closed in August. So, it was bittersweet to find out this month that we had won our second Trip Advisor travellers choice award IN A ROW! Two years back-to-back in Trip Advisors Top 10% of recommended places to eat worldwide.

Wouldn’t it be great if Meat Monsters could stoke its fires again……… After all, Meat Monsters was more than just a place to eat, so it seems a shame that it would fade away, doesn’t it?

Massive thanks to everyone who popped in to Meaties today for day 1 of our yard sale. We had lots of regulars, Masterclass Alumni and the Dinky Dexters gang.

The bric a brac tables were pillaged, the Meaties Memorabilia table too. We still have some stuff for tomorrow including some larger items but expect we'll not make it past midday!

Saturday & Sunday from 10am or until it's all gone.

Unfortunately the delay due to family bereavement means we're not going to have the bacon rolls we promised.... we've got no kitchen left!
