WHAT IS ELLAND TOGETHER?
You might have seen the name Elland Together popping up recently, so we wanted to explain what it’s all about!
It all started with the Pisspot. Unfortunately, the Pisspot wasn’t allowed to continue in its original format, so rather than simply seeing it disappear, Elland Together was formed to bring local venues together and run a properly organised weekly lottery.
🎟️ Elland Together will run a weekly draw in each of these four Elland venues, with tickets remaining at just £1:
The Travellers • Kados • The Wellington • The Savile
80% of all ticket sales goes directly into that venue’s prize fund.
20% goes to Elland Together.
So what is Elland Together?
Elland Together is the community society that will use the funds raised through the lotteries to give something back to Elland and help make our town an even better place.
The money raised will be used to support local cultural events, community projects, small local charities and grassroots sports, as well as helping to bring events and activities back to the town.
📣 And this is where we need you!
If you know of a small local charity, community group or sports team that could do with some extra support, please let us know.
We also want to hear your ideas! If there’s an event you’d love to see return to Elland, or something new you think would bring the community together, tell us.
This is about making sure the money raised in our town goes towards the things local people actually want to see and support.
The more people who get involved, the more we can put back into our town.
