Just next to the Elgol Bistro, on Eileen’s dad, Ian Mackinnon croft. Bet they had venison casserole back then too!

That was some thunder & lightening spell we had in Elgol tonight, could it be to do with a new wine being available called ‘Dragon’?! Langhe Bianco is a blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon. The 2024 Dragon is a brilliant light yellow in colour. On the nose are aromas of lemon, lime zest, lemon curd and hints of mint. The palate is refreshing and structured, with distinct notes of peach, apricot and mango balanced by an energetic saline finish.

It's not just the Elgol Dragon at the Bistro you gotta watch out for... keep dogs close as there's some very protective 🐑

Again... apologies. We are closed this Wednesday 10th June, I've nipped South to have a meeting with my folks, back open Thursday 11th! (no more planned breaks this season 🫣)
Planned are Haddock & Chips, Venison Casserole, Goats cheese salad & more...

Open Wednesday - Saturday from 1630hrs

So pleased to have welcomed in a former colleague recently, Dr Leo Murray. Both Eileen & Donald worked with him for many happy years at Dr Mackinnon hospital in Broadford. He called by to try the Cullen Skink and in typical form he said “yes, that’s a good Cullen”.

I’m alive again on May-morning! The lambs are jumping and the crofters are all go. If you’ve been at the bistro before you will have heard my love of music, was in a dilemma if would re-new our music licence this year with all the costs..but it makes it even more magical having it..so it continues! We hope you enjoy the background tunes..let us know what you heard-
