🥾❤️ MEET THE TEAM! ❤️🥾

This October, our team of 8 is taking on the 118km Great Glen Way from Fort William to Inverness to raise the remainder of the funds for a publicly accessible defibrillator outside the Springfield Bar.

Meet the team:

🐾 Dean – Chief Canine Officer
🍻 Gregor – Head of Team Morale
🥪 Spam – Director of Outdoor Cuisine
🎶 Louisa – Head of Tunes & Booze
⏱️ Joyce – Chief Pace Setter & Timekeeper
🪑 Greg – Director of Finding the Nearest Seat
📍 Labo – Chief Pub Location Officer
🥾 Roy – Director of Walking Operations

It’s going to be tough, with tired legs, sore feet, questionable singing and probably plenty of complaining along the way! 😂

But knowing that every step is helping us raise funds for such an important cause will keep us going. ❤️

We’d be incredibly grateful for any donation, big or small, to help us reach our target and get this lifesaving piece of equipment in place for our local community.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of one of our valued customers and friends Mike Wilson 💙

Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time 💙

Pop in on Thursday and join the family for a drink, share some memories and raise a glass together for Mike 🥃

Peacefully at home, after a short illness, on Saturday, 1st August 2026, surrounded by his family, Michael (Mike), aged 79 years.

Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Dot), loving dad of Donna, David and Ian, and a much-loved granda, great-granda and father-in-law. A good friend to many.

Funeral private at Mike's request.

The family would like to welcome neighbours and friends to join them at The Springfield Bar from 1.30pm on Thursday 20th August to celebrate Mike's life, should they wish to do so.

A massive thank you to Breeks and Tracy for their incredibly generous donation to our defibrillator fundraising.
Instead of gifts, they chose to donate the money collected at their recent wedding party held at the Springer raising an amazing £821.
We can't thank you both enough for your kindness and generosity. It was a pleasure to host your party and we're truly honoured that you chose to support such an important cause.

💙 A Massive Thank You! 💙

A huge thank you to Burghead Loyal RSC for their incredible donation of £1,000 towards our new defibrillator.

As if that wasn't generous enough, they've also kindly offered to cover the annual maintenance costs, which is absolutely amazing. We truly appreciate your fantastic support.

To help raise the remaining funds, some of us from the Springer will be taking on the Great Glen Way this October. Keep an eye on our page for more information on the walk and how you can get involved 🥾⛰️
