I’m very sad to have to make this post.
After catching up with some of our staff today I was upset for them that a minority of our customers are not treating them in the manner they deserve. They have been shouted at, sworn at and one had her hand physically smacked by a customer. NONE of these actions are acceptable and will not be tolerated. They are doing a job and NOBODY deserves to be treated like this while doing their job
This is a very small minority of our normally lovely customers but the actions are not all ones by new customers. Sometimes it has been from people who visit regularly.
Just for the record, we don’t offer amendments on our menus, we don’t reserve tables, we aren’t hiding food in the kitchen that we don’t want to serve you and by saying you only want f**king soup doesn’t get you served outwith our lunchtime. If we say we’ve never served that particular food then we never have, none of the staff have any reason to lie.
At the moment we have a young-ish workforce, it is exactly this type of behaviour that is forcing some of these wonderful young people out of hospitality. They could be your son or daughter, niece or nephew, grandson or granddaughter, would you really want them treated like this?
Thank you to the majority of our customers who are polite and courteous and understand sometimes when things can’t happen the way they’d maybe prefer but those of you who want to treat our staff like something you’ve stood in 💩 then please stay at home or if you display any of this behaviour you’ll be asked to leave.
Again, thank you to those who continue to support us and treat our staff as they deserve ❤️
