Our grilled lemongrass beef ball and fried egg bành mì is proving popular. Served in a crusty roll, it’s also packed full of pickles and fresh herbs.

Spice lovers can add as much sriracha or our own homemade chilli sauce (there’s a pot of it in your table) as you like!

Broth simmered from scratch, piled high with fresh herbs, crisp greens, plenty of protein (choose from tofu, chicken or beef brisket) and just the right amount of chilli. Made the way our family always has.

Authentically Vietnamese, right here in Stockbridge… come say xin chào 💛

Lunchtime in Ho Chi Minh City, more or less ☀️

In Vietnam, lunch is quick, fresh and eaten on the hoof, ideally in the shade. A bánh mì in one hand, something cold in the other.

Ours pictured here is the BBQ pork belly accompanied by a fresh mango smoothie to take away or eat in, in our Stockbridge restaurant. The Water of Leith stands in for the Saigon River just fine ☺️

Our owner, Bau, has called Edinburgh home for ten years, and for most of them he’s dreamed of a restaurant like this - linen covered lights, handwoven rattan lanterns, warm timber, somewhere that feels like the kitchens we grew up in.

Edinburgh gave our family a home and this our way of giving something back - honest, comforting Vietnamese food, made with heart, for the city that welcomed us in 💛

This is our Mekong Bowl 🥢

Cool rice vermicelli noodles with cucumber, lettuce, fresh coriander and basil, pickled vegetables and bbq pork, lemongrass infused pork meat balls and spring rolls. It comes with a bowl of peanut sauce to pour over the top.

Fresh, meaty, crunchy and herby all in one bowl, ideal for these long summer evenings.

Our kitchen is open until 9pm on Sundays - Thursdays and until 9:30pm on Fridays & Saturdays 🇻🇳 we look forward to welcoming you 💛

Many of our guests start their meal with our fried dumplings, filled with juicy prawn and chives 🦐

We call them Mekong Treasure - little parcels, homemade with love and wrapped by hand, like something precious pulled from the river that feeds southern Vietnam. These are fried until golden and served with a sesame-soy vinaigrette and pickles.

Meet our bánh mì 🥖

The French brought the baguette to Vietnam and it was the street food vendors in Saigon that turned it into something worth queuing for. The baguette is baked lighter and crustier, then split open and filled to the brim. This one is BBQ pork belly, pâté, Asian pickles, fresh cucumber, coriander and a smear of honey butter, all for £9.50.

Grab one to go - in Vietnam we eat this standing up, wrapped in paper - or enjoy at Pho & Roll with a view of Stockbridge… our outside seating is perfect for this weather ☀️
