From Hakawa Chocolate to Something Warm 🍫🫖

It’s been just over three months since we opened our doors at Millar Crescent in January 2026. As we continue settling into this new chapter, we’d love to share a little more about who we are.

At heart, we are chocolate makers and tea lovers. For 7–8 years in Hong Kong, we crafted bean-to-bar chocolate in a tiny 7-square-metre workshop called Hakawa Chocolate ( Hakawa Chocolate ), making everything from scratch.
From sourcing raw cacao beans directly from farmers to sorting, roasting, winnowing, grinding, tempering, and finally moulding each bar—along with creating chocolate drinks and confections—every step was carried out with care and intention.

Today, our setting at Something Warm may look different, but our vision remains the same: to create authentic, high-quality food and drinks while building connections with people and communities through food, culture, and shared experiences.
We’re grateful to be here, excited for what’s ahead, and we hope to welcome you soon for a cup of our speciality chocolate or tea

(We’ve also tagged Hakawa Chocolate above—feel free to have a look if you’d like to learn more about our journey.)

Citrus Chocolate 🍊🍫
A new addition to our drinks menu — Citrus Chocolate.

Citrus fruits are the perfect partner to dark chocolate. Their fresh, fruity, and zesty notes balance its rich, intense creaminess while bring out its brighter flavours.

Our Citrus Chocolate is made with 70%+ dark chocolate and our house-made citrus syrup, crafted from oranges, lemons, and limes sourced from local farmers’ markets, gently infused with sweet spices. The result is a harmonious blend of deep chocolate richness and vibrant citrus aroma.

Enjoy it hot for a cosy treat on a moody, chilly day, or iced for something bright and refreshing in the sunshine. Whenever the mood calls — it’s yours to enjoy.

In addition to the cherry cake we featured earlier, we’re delighted to introduce artisan shortbread from Alex Dalgetty & Sons a 5th generation bakery based in Galashiels, in the Scottish Borders.

Their original butter shortbread is renowned for its delicate, crumbly texture and rich flavour, while the fruit shortbread is studded with currants. Both are hand-cut and baked to perfection in their traditional oven.

We serve these classic Scottish shortbreads with a dollop of house-made caramel sauce or jam, handmade with seasonal produce from Ovenstone Organic.

Pairing suggestions:
✨Lost Malawi English Breakfast,
✨Earl Grey,
✨Da Hong Pao,
or 🤎70%+ hot chocolate.

Sliced Sourdough 🍞

Another delicious addition to our food menu! This time, we’re featuring sourdough 🍞 from Twelve Triangles paired with salted cultured butter from The Edinburgh Butter Co. 🧈 and seasonal jam 🍊🍓🫐from Ovenstone Organics from Stockbridge Market

🍞 Twelve Triangles is a familiar name to anyone who loves bread and pastries in Edinburgh. We share their philosophy of “simple things made well”. Their house loaf—what they call “the backbone of our community and what we make the most of”—truly lives up to that description. We’re big fans ourselves, and this all-UK grain sourdough, mixed with sesame, pumpkin, and linseeds, offers outstanding flavour and texture. It’s a staple we enjoy nearly every day.

🧈 Edinburgh Butter Co and Oventone Organics are equally exceptional producers. The butter is rich, deep in flavour, and beautifully silky in texture. Meanwhile, 🍊🍓🫐 Oventone Organics’ jams are hand-made by the owners of Oventone Organics in small batches from seasonal produce—fresh, organic, and full of character. Crafted with care and love, they are perfect companion to this simple yet fulfilling dish.

When we formulate our food menu, other than considering what is good pairing with chocolate or tea, we are also eager to showcase the high quality Scottish food / food ingredients and share our food culture. There are a lot fine food in Scotland, it’s an amazing journey for us to discover them one by one throughout the set up and running of Something Warm. Not only the taste, aroma, appearance or nutrition values, but also the history, beautiful stories and values pertaining to these food we treasure.

Lost Malawi 英式早餐茶
伯爵茶
大紅袍
70%+ 熱朱古力
