This former banking hall is modelled on a Florentine Palazzo and delivers everything you want from a fabulous, authentic contemporary Italian restaurant. We source our produce direct from the markets in Italy and change our menus every couple of weeks to reflect seasonal produce. Our homemade pasta is made fresh every morning with our delicious Puglian focaccia.

We’re delighted to be taking part in Edinburgh Cocktail Week this October at Contini George Street.

Our talented Contini team has created a beautiful cocktail called the Oliveto.

From 2nd-11th October, wristband holders can enjoy Oliveto for £6.

The wristband also includes free entry to the Cocktail Village, with pop-up bars, live music, DJs, street food, champagne, games and more.

We look forward to being part of another brilliant week in Edinburgh.

Welcome to Edinburgh, our Festival city. August is when we’re at our most popular. The theatres are busy, restaurants are busy, the streets are busy (even in the pouring rain). Locals will say they prefer the city in September when all the tourists are away. They don’t tell you they love going to see all the shows, the concerts and spotting the celebrities. If you’re a local, you’re very lucky. You get to be a tourist in your own city over August when we become the world’s Festival city plus we get to live here the rest of the year.

If you’re visiting for the first time, you’re in for a treat. You can walk almost everywhere. Start in Princes Street Gardens, East side, just below the Scot Monument. Seasonal produce, straight from our Contini Kitchen Garden 🌱

The latest from our harvest is beautiful courgette flowers and Genovese basil, both freshly picked and making their way into our kitchen.

With courgette flower season almost at an end, we’re making the most of every harvest. Freshly picked from the garden, they’re filled with creamy ricotta, seasoned with dill and fried until perfectly crisp.

Our beautiful Genovese basil is also in abundance, used in our homemade Pesto alla Genovese with rigatoni, potato, fagiolini and Parmigiano Reggiano DOP.
