Over the last few months, weβve had the pleasure of having a young lad called James working with us at the Spud Dads trailer - and we thought it was about time we shared a bit of a positive story. π
James is only 18, but heβs one of those young people who genuinely makes you think, βFair play.β
In his own words, all he wants to do is work.
Heβs reliable, hardworking and always willing to get stuck in. If heβs not working with us, heβll find work elsewhere, whether thatβs with one of the other catering companies he helps out or wherever else he can pick up a shift.
At the moment, heβs waiting for his university place to start, but later this year heβll be heading off to Japan to kick-start his career as a ski instructor. π―π΅πΏ
And when heβs not working or out socialising with his friends, he tells us heβs usually studying - doing everything he can to give himself the best possible chance of achieving what he wants in life.
With so much negative press surrounding young people in the UK and further afield at the moment, we thought it was important to share the other side of the story.
Not every youngster is the same.
There are plenty of young people out there who are ambitious, respectful, hardworking and determined to make something of themselves. James is a brilliant example of that.
Weβd quite happily keep him at Spud Dads forever, but unfortunately for us, heβs got bigger and better things ahead! π
Weβre genuinely proud to have him as part of the Spud Dads team, and we wish him nothing but the very best for university, Japan and whatever comes next.
Keep grafting, James. Youβll do absolutely brilliant. ππ
