We're known for providing a delicious blend of American and Scottish Food. Our menu is designed and packaged to be enjoyed on the go and we've got some lovely parks nearby so picnics are always an option. Seating inside is limited and on a first come first served basis. An up to date menu can be found on our Facebook and Tripadvisor pages and if you follow us on Instagram you can keep up to date w

ith our weekly specials, daily scones and other sweet treat news! We bake all our goodies in house and have several gluten free and vegan options available. We cook each order fresh so if you are in a rush you can always call your order in ahead. It's good to support local and we're proud use Edinburgh based Artisan Roast Coffee and PekoeTea. We also make our tray bakes, brownies, blondies, tiffin and scones to order. So if you’re having a wee party or celebration and need some sweet treats we’ve got you covered!

I’d like to say a big BIG thank you to everyone that made it down to say farewell on our last few days and those that took the time to send us lovely messages and wish us well. You’ve made it an emotional few days.

The generosity and love we’ve been shown has been overwhelming and just brings home how awesome this community is. From fellow cafes to regulars to every so ofteners.

It’s been an awesome experience helming this institution and we will miss you all.

Big News from The Bird…..

The Bluebird will be closing its doors for the last time on Tuesday 11th October.

This feels like a break up letter cause we’re gonna miss so many of your lovely faces.

We can’t thank everyone enough who has stood by us, supported us and joined us over these challenging years. You’ve made each day a joy.

We hope in return we gave you a welcome space, good chat and of course some delicious food.

It’s unknown what the future holds but sometimes that’s when the best things happens.

But we’re not done yet so come down, say hi and get fed!

Never let’s us down, old faithful, a warm hug, a good friend - our vegetarian breakfast burrito.

Our menu is available all throughout the day. Breakfast is the most important meal after all!

Our veggie toasted burrito has cheese, scrambled egg, jalapeños, roasted peppers and avocado. Add Cholula and you’re in for a rare treat.
