Kevin helps to maintain our local archives and makes regular contributions to many local sites. His trips down memory lane bring a smile to so many....

It's true to say most people volunteer because they want to give something back. Other reasons to volunteer include socialising and improving well being.

Today's shout goes to Alison who is one of the lovely ladies who comes to our craft afternoons. Alison crochets themed squares eg. Chocolates flowers and sews them all together for United by wool.

When's she not crocheting she's busy crafting to raise money for Maggies.

Our celebration of thanks continues with a big shout out to Clermiston Literarti.

This group of amazing volunteers collect bag loads of rubbish from our local streets and beauty spots several times each week.

Why people drop litter and dump things is beyond me but really appreciate all the effort they put into keeping the community clean.

Nicola is our Rainbow leader but also acts a mentor to support new leaders in training enabling more girls to have great adventures and experiences.

Our celebration of volunteers continues.
Today's shout out goes to David Lowe. As a member of our local community council and the pinkhill tunnel project.

A tale of two tunnels is David's vision to create a vibrant tunnel people can enjoy at Pinkhill.

The community council pulls together to make Corstorphine a better place but there is a lot of work behind the scenes that is often overlooked. Many hands and a wealth of experience can make a big difference so don't be shy in getting involved helping our community councils.

This week I'm celebrating volunteers week. Volunteering is a great way to give something back and can make a big difference.
There are too many incredible volunteers to mention but want to mention a few.
